How do I submit my proof of address (POA)?
What is Proof of Address (POA)? To help ensure the security of your account, we may sometimes require you to provide a valid Proof of Address. An acceptable document must meet the following criteria: it must display your legal name and your current full residential address, and it must have been issued within the past three months to ensure the information is up to date. What are the supported POA?
Valid bank statements
Tax form, tax statement, or tax return
Pay stub that contains residential address
Valid rental agreement (the remaining tenure cannot be less than 2 months)
A valid government-issued document that shows your current name and address
Valid utility bills such as water, electricity, gas, home attached tv or internet bills, landline telephone bills (mobile phone statements are not acceptable)
Before uploading your Proof of Address, please ensure the following:
The POA must be your residential address.
Your full name on the POA must match your legal name.
If you live with parents or a spouse, you may include a supplementary document, such as a formal attestation from the property owner or leaseholder.
The POA must be issued within the last 3 months.
The POA must be a clear photo of your original POA or a PDF file can either be a clear photo of your original POA or a PDF file.
The POA must match the residential information you provided during your identity verification.
The acceptable types of POA may vary with different jurisdiction.
Where should I upload my proof?
If you are required to complete Proof of Address verification, the system will usually send an email to your registered email address or display a notice in the app notification center in advance. You can select Verify now directly from the notification to proceed. Alternatively, you may upload your documents by tapping Verify now on the Identity Verification page in the app.
App:
Open the OKX app > Select the Main Menu icon in the upper left corner > Profile and settings > Profile > Identity verification > Verify now.
Web:
Go to the Profile icon > Select Verification to complete your verification to meet Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

Why do I need to complete Proof of Address verification?
In accordance with the latest laws and regulatory requirements, we may require you to provide Proof of Address to verify that you are not residing in a jurisdiction where our services are restricted. For more details about restricted regions, please refer to the platform’s Terms of Service.
Unacceptable document types
The following documents are not accepted as Proof of Address:
Bank account opening certificates
Digital driver’s licenses
Online third-party payment receipts or screenshots
Online shopping records
Food delivery orders
Mobile phone bill payment records, and similar documents

If you obtain a bank or credit card statement, please submit the original PDF file or a photo of the physical statement. Screenshots will not be accepted.
