Lighter / edgeX TGE, what is the most important indicator?!
Next month, the TGE for Lighter and edgeX will take place.
I expect edgeX to be in the early stage and Lighter in the mid-stage,
but for now, Lighter and edgeX are both the same PerpDEX, and they plan to build their ecosystems on their respective chains, although their goals as PerpDEXs are somewhat different.
Lighter aims for Robinhood's No Fee,
while edgeX is based on the existing Fee Based
PerpDEX.
So far, both have shown very good performance metrics.
Trading volume, OI, TVL, Fee, Revenue, and some others are surpassing Hyperliquid.
So, if the indicators are good, will the airdrop be generous?!
No one really knows.
However, in my opinion, there is one indicator that can be somewhat predicted,
✅ and that is the 'inflow of stablecoins'.
The short-term peak for $HYPE's TGE was $32.3 on December 22, 2024.
At that time, Hyperliquid's USD inflow was continuously increasing, peaking at $2.22B on December 22, and then dropping by more than 10% on the 23rd, causing the price of $HYPE to decline.
Basically, I believe that 'money needs to come in for the price to go up'.
So, whether it's Lighter or edgeX, if we look at the USD inflow leading up to the TGE, we might be able to read the price direction of each token!
Perhaps, we will see some market reactions starting from the distribution timing of each meme coin $LIGER and $MARU.
