Then it quickly dropped back below $77,500, wiping out another $153 million in long positions. That’s a total of $358 million in liquidations. Right now: There’s a large pool of liquidity sitting above $79,500–$81,500, which could get swept and push the price even higher. But there’s an even bigger cluster of liquidation zones below $74,500–$77,500, making it more likely, probabilistically, that price moves down there. Both longs and shorts are getting harvested.
